Digital Lighting

High End Systems DL.2 Digital Lighting and Media Server
DL.2 integrates a media server loaded with a wealth of digital content with a high output 3-chip light engine, a highly sensitive HAD sensor camera and an infrared illumination system. DL.2 mounts like any other intelligent moving luminaire and controls just as easily with plug-and-play operation using standard DMX cabling and protocols. Production set-up time is reduced as there is no need for RGB cabling, and racks of servers are no longer necessary at front-of-house or backstage area.

A Content Management Application running on your MAC or PC workstation or laptop computer gives you remote control of uploading and crossloading content, upgrading software and fixture configuration for multiple DL.2 fixtures on a fixture network.
System

  • DL.2 software based on Windows XP and DirectX technology
  • Powerful Content Management and Configuration software can remotely manage multiple DL.2 fixtures
  • Integrated Sony camera with Super HAD image sensor technology and infrared illuminator provides live video input and output from fixture location.
  • Supports importing of custom content including: 3D objects, media files, still images.
  • DMX512 and Art-Net support
  • Remote software upgrade capability
  • Royalty-free stock digital art collection featuring more than 1,000 lighting-optimized files
  • RGBHV and S-Video connections accept a wide range of media device inputs

Robe Show Lighting
DigitalSpot 5000DT, a 5500 ANSI Lumen output digital moving head projector.

The highly versatile Robe DigitalSpot 5000 DT offers two digital gobo layers with the selection of up to 244 x 255 video clips or images per layer. Two independent effects channels on each gobo layer offer 120 effects including kaleidoscope, squeeze in/out, alpha or black flash, Gaussian filter, Laplacian filter, gobo disc mirror and colour key effects, etc. There´s also individual X and Y positioning and a scaling (zoom effect) for each gobo layer, plus rotating and indexing with continuous rotation for each gobo layer and adjustable playback speed.

Additional functions include digital keystoning, a CMY colour mixing system CTF colour correction filter, strobe effect, mechanical iris, zoom, digital iris and and digital framing shutters. Supported video formats include MPEG1 and MPEG2, image formats PNG, TGA, BMP and JPG. S-Video and VGA inputs for direct video input to data projectors are handy for performing presentations. S-Video and Composite live video inputs can be used in graphics effects.

The fixture is aimed at all professional entertainment and leisure applications including concert touring, theatre and television productions, presentations of all types, clubs, multi-purpose venues and anywhere where there is a need to maximize the integration between moving lights and digital imagery.

High End Systems Orbital Head Lighting Systems

High End Systems Showgun light SHOWGUN is High End System’s latest revolutionary automated lighting luminaire. SHOWGUN is shaping the future of lighting design using the current method of “radical rethinking” by acclaimed inventor Richard Belliveau and his talented research & development team. Every aspect of SHOWGUN has applied this central philosophy to its design, and the result is a fixture characterized by sheer, unbridled power, advanced features and unmatched lighting design possibilities.

SHOWGUN provides entertainment lighting design possibilities in three dimensions: first in the air with high-energy focused or soft edge beams; second with images projected on the stage surface, and third at the SHOWGUN fixture itself by using an innovative LED Tracking System.

A new patent pending optical design was at the forefront of the “radical rethinking.” This optical design incorporates a proprietary, optically accurate polymer microfresnel lens allowing SHOWGUN to produce a true focused hard-edge or a brilliant soft-edge combination, without the need for two separate fixture types. The true focused hard-edge allows SHOWGUN to project HES Litho images, while the soft-edge abilities exceed industry standards. Soft edge/hard edge “enabling” for SHOWGUN is easily accomplished from any lighting console.

Distinctive and uncompromising, SHOWGUN is, in essence, a very large and powerful automated light that can project images, change and mix dichroic colors, and switch from hard-edge to soft-edge all within a compact system.

Pushing the boundaries of technology, SHOWGUN’s main output uses a 2000 watt short arc metal halide lamp designed as a joint venture between Philips and High End Systems.  The new “MSR 2000SA Gold” lamp uses a novel fast fit socket design that allows for a more compact reflector combination.  Combining the high-performance lamp, advanced reflector and revolutionary optical design, SHOWGUN produces over 100,000 lumens of heart-pounding output that must be seen to be fully appreciated.

SHOWGUN’s LED Tracking System forces a double take as a unique homogenously mixed RGB LED circular array that allows the user to either match the color of the main output beam, or to project a complementary color by mixing RGB values. Producing more than 5000 lumens of output, the LED Tracking System works in tandem with SHOWGUN’s other features to redefine the rules of lighting design.

SHOWGUN is at the vanguard of today’s lighting design revolution.
