There are many individual control systems out now for each type of technology being used. Most projects will utilize these separate controllers running house lighting, LED lighting, audio, video, PTZ cameras and even HVAC. There are a few ways to try to untangle the mess and simplify operation for users.

A Master Control System can integrate all these controls into one interface, thus reducing cluttering wall controllers and eliminating confusion.  In this instance you can program all of your various devices for audio, video, lighting etc and then trigger them from the master control system. This can be produced in a media rich environment much like a website, giving you an intuitive graphical user interface for your devices.

In the same regard many procedures can be automated for startup and shutdown functions of a venue. Come in, punch in your PIN code, and push startup, then it can startup all your various systems and recall all your programmed presets, this helps get things going. The shutdown macros can be the most valuable though giving everyone a simple way of closing down for the night, and making sure all devices were shutdown properly. You could even have a 5 min delay setting on your lights allowing you enough time to set your alarm and exit the venue before being in the dark. Astronomical settings can be applied as well to be sure those macros are triggered, so even if someone forgets to initiate shutdown, it can have a time i.e.5am to shut everything off. Additional remote access from computer and even phones can be configured as well…
